In page 22 of Sarah's Price, the free on-line thriller romance novel by Rob Hopcott, the two thugs beat and torture Sarah, demanding that she provide the information they want.

She has no idea what they want to know and only stops the beating temporarily by requesting to go to the Ladies.

Although the thugs stand guard outside, she finds a way of barricaded the door to prevent them coming in and breaks the fire alarm glass to set off the fire alarm and call the fire brigade.

Eventually she is rescued by the firemen but before they have a chance to ask her any questions, she slips away out of the side door.
