In page fifteen of Sarah's Price, the free on-line thriller romance novel by Rob Hopcott, the youth admits he planted the virus and offers to introduce an antidote to the virus on Sarah's laptop computer if she will do what he wants.

He points out that times have changed. Life is dog eat dog these days in the 1990s. Those who have nothing to trade get nothing.

The files on Sarah's laptop are very precious to her and as he holds out the floppy disc that carries the antidote she considers giving him what he wants in exchange for the virus killing program.

But the idea fills her full of disgust and anger so she snatches the floppy disc from the youth and turns to run.

Isn't it strange how fast technology moves on? Do you remember these old floppy discs? (Hint, they were all the rage before CDs to back data up on.)
