In page four of Sarah's Price, the free on-line thriller romance novel by Rob Hopcott, the name of the stranger that Sarah has engaged in conversation on a bench seat in Hyde Park is revealed as Peter.
Sarah and Peter admit to each other that they are both married but make a mutual pact that it will not affect the way they relate to each other.
We start to learn a little bit about Peter's personality and discover that he is carefully calculating in his dealings with others. For example, we see him relishing the disappointment his online chess game opponent will feel in defeat.
Will Sarah be successful in her attempts to deceive such a clever and calculating man. There is already a hint that he is suspicious of her motives but still seems to see her as an opportunity rather than a threat.
Are men more calculating than women? Would a woman like Sarah be able to act convincingly and succeed in her plan? What do you think?
Bye for now.
